Three hurt as ambulance skids into lagoon

KOTA KINABALU: Three medical personnel suffered injuries when the ambulance they were in skidded and landed on the Likas lagoon along the coastal road.

The consequences could have been tragic had the vehicle not been obstructed by a tree as it slid down.

The three were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 2 in Damai by a passing motorist.

The medical personnel had just dropped off a patient at the Likas Women and Children’s Hospital and were heading back to Beaufort when the accident happened.
