Westports Malaysia Executive Chairman, Tan Sri G. Gnanalingam has
been conferred the Asia Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress Award
2010 for his contributions to society in the development of human
resources.
Tan Sri Gnanalingam was among several HRD professionals from Asia who
received recognition for their outstanding efforts during the Asia HRD
Congress Awards, which was held at the Borneo Convention Centre in
Kuching recently. These HRD professionals will have their names entered
into the HRD Congress Hall of Fame for making a lasting impact on the
profession.
Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang presented the award to Tan Sri Gnanalingam.
Speaking at the occasion, Tan Sri Gnanalingam said, “This is the
third human resources award to Westports. The first was Best Employer
Award in 2004 and followed by the Human Resource Development Award in
2007. I believe receiving the Asia HRD Award is probably the culmination
of awards.
